The sad story of the empty bar
2020 and 2021 were marked by lockdowns, border closures and restrictions that had a detrimental impact on hospitality businesses across the globe.
There were sad empty bars littered around the world.
One thing we have noted over these crazy months is that the venues that rebooked live music and DJS as soon as they re opened are the ones with the healthiest bottom line some 27 months later.
Some bars hesitated and then struggled to compete and re capture their market share.
In June 2022, after 27 months of uncertainty, there are still some venues yet to rebook live music.
With an additional debt load, staff shortages and increased compliances, it is understandable that some venues may still be a bit gun shy and not yet wish to invest in live music.
However, in surveying our hospitality sector, the venues that booked live music pre March 2020 and are yet to return to that level of music schedules, are not performing as well financially as the venues that committed themselves to creating somewhere safe and entertaining for their patrons to be once restrictions were lifted.
The bottom line is that live music and DJs add more value to your bottom line. Patrons are attracted to the energy of good live music and DJs.
Your brand is a place to be and with Live Music and DJs happening in your bar, it becomes a destination.
